Zaparas Lawyers were proud sponsors of the 2024 Yakkerboo Festival Pakenham. We had an amazing Sunday, having our stall set up and being able to interact with the Pakenham Community. The Yakkerboo Festival is a staple in the local Pakenham community and it was such a pleasure to be able to meet so many friendly faces out and about enjoying the festivities.

Today Zaparas Lawyers hosted an Eid – Fitr Morning tea for our incredible staff. We were joined by our special guest Barrister Julia Frederico in embracing the spirit of Eid as we came together to share delicious treats, joyful conversations, and celebrate the end of Ramadan. It is a time for unity, reflection, and gratitude, and we could not think of a better way to mark the occasion than by gathering as a team. To all our Muslim staff and friends, Eid Mubarak! May this special day bring you peace, happiness, and blessings aplenty.

Eid Mubarak! After the sacred days of fasting and worship during Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr becomes a cherished occasion for Muslim Australians to unite as a community in prayer, hospitality, and generosity. Zaparas Lawyers extends warm wishes to all of those celebrating throughout Australia a joyous Eid.

Zaparas Lawyers were proud sponsors of the 2024 Rotary District 9810 Conference held in Warrnambool with our very own Senior Associate Kehela Vandenberg being a member of the Conference Committee. The theme of the weekend was 'Mind Matters' with a special focus on Mental Health. With an array of Special Guest speakers including former AFL player Tom Boyd, Commissioner of the law Victorian Law Reform Commission Bernadette McSherry. With over 300 registrants attending, the Rotary District Conference was an opportunity for Rotarians and friends of the Rotary to come together to network, learn, be inspired and celebrate the Community service projects of the District.

  Zaparas Lawyers were honoured to sponsor an amazing event that witnessed the coming together of Greek Australian leaders to mark Greek Independence Day at Australian Parliament House in Canberra.   The Great Hall of the Australian Parliament was emblazoned in blue and white, the national colours of Greece, as the crowd was treated to traditional Greek Dancing and Greek inspired cuisine.   This occasion marked the first event since the formation of the Parliamentary Friends of Greek Australians and the Parliamentary Friends of Greece. The celebration was in recognition of the Greek Australian relationship, highlighting the significant and enduring contributions the Greek Australian community has made to our country.   A very special thank you to Hon Clare O'Neil MP along with her Co-chairs James Stevens MP, Steve Georganas MP and Senator Hollie Hughes for graciously hosting this amazing day. Minister Theodoros Livanios, Alternate Minister of the Interior of Greece, and His Eminence Archbishop Makarios were also in attendance. His Eminence spoke of how it felt to be Australian with a Greek heart in a warm and touching speech whilst Minister O’Neil described how the enduring and special presence of Greek Australians in her electorate and the nation has shaped and continues to shape Australian political and cultural life.   It was heartening to be able to see and connect with members of Parliament supporting this great initiative. It was an honour to hear from Prime Minister Anthony Albanese who spoke about his connection to the Greek Australian Community. The Leader of the Opposition The Hon. Peter Dutton MP also spoke of the significant contribution of the Greek community to Australian society.   It was wonderful to see members of the Greek community travel from all over the country for this celebration and to witness the further strengthening of the Greek Australian relationship.

Last Sunday saw us host another fun filled Zaparas Lawyers Family Day. Zaparas value the support that the significant people in our life provide and recognise that it is because of them that our team are able to thrive. The sunny weather complimented an abundance of activities such arts and crafts, soccer and even an Easter Egg hunt for all the kids. This event is a highlight every year as it is a great occasion for our team to enjoy a day out in the sun with the people closest to them. We thank each and every one of you who came along and made it the amazing day it was. 

On Sunday the 17th of March members of the Zaparas Lawyers team joined in on the Good Friday Appeal's Run for the Kids Fun Run. Now in its 18th year, the Run for the Kids has generated $26 Million in fundraising for The Royal Children's Hospital. Members of our team either ran or walked in both the 14.4km and 4.7km courses, showing off their fitness! The Good Friday Appeal is an amazing initiative that every year raises both money and awareness for The Royal Children's Hospital.

Zaparas Lawyers are proud Sponsors of the Logan Roos Football Club. This club is not only a fantastic sporting group but also a supportive community that empowers all members in both the Juniors and Seniors. Our team were thrilled to be present alongside Cameron Dick in support of the Seniors team as they gear up for the 2024 season.

Zaparas Lawyers would like to wish all women a happy International Women's Day. This day is to show respect and gratitude to all of the women who have helped make Zaparas Lawyers the firm it is today. We are still on a high from our International Women's Day event on Wednesday.
