Sunday night on call just became a whole lot more fun, working in the new IRMACS at Liverpool Public Hospital - NSW Health . It’s not just about the amazing equipment created by Siemens Healthineers and Wilhelm Integrated Solutions —it’s about the teamwork that’s fostered in the middle of the night, when everyone is pushing toward the same goal, the same single objective: the best possible patient outcomes. I work alongside our fellow, Terrence Hui , who brings a vast range of skills to the angio table. It’s a pleasure to share the lead with him, bounce ideas off each other, and support one another through the pressure points of procedures. What’s not pictured here but is essential to the whole procedure is the rest of our incredible and humble team, including two brilliant nurses whose clinical acumen and deep knowledge of the equipment allow for a perfectly synchronised unspoken dialogue during procedures—where the doctors’ thoughts and next moves are anticipated and astutely prompted in a kind of symbiotic silence. And absolutely key to this entire operation is our radiographer, who drives this highly specialised, global-first combination of equipment like my Formula 1 hero, Ayrton Senna. Woochul Lee All while we listen to a carefully crafted patient selected Spotify playlist.
