April is Parkinson’s Awareness Month, and our team at Royal Rehab Private Petersham is proud to play our part. Today, we hosted a special event for past and present clients, along with their carers and family members. The session, all around Parkinson's Disease, included communication tips, strategies for emotional wellbeing, techniques for falls prevention, and insightful information on the services we offer. To wrap up, we enjoyed a fun exercise together—all while indulging in a delightful afternoon tea! We had the absolute pleasure of a visit from one of our ex-patients, Michel, to Royal Rehab Private Petersham!   Michel bravely battled through his stroke recovery and spent five months with us as an inpatient. His recovery has been bolstered by the incredible support of his loving wife, Cathy. He touched our hearts by coming back to see us, despite severe aphasia, he expressed his gratitude and shared how much he missed our dedicated therapists.   It was a touching moment, as our team gathered around to reconnect with Michel and capture some precious memories together. Seeing our patients, like Michel, return to us so we can witness their remarkable progress, fills us with immense joy and pride.   Thank you, Michel, and Cathy for visiting and reminding us why we do what we do. Your resilience and spirit continue to inspire us all!
