We’re excited to celebrate a decade of partnership with Attvest Finance! It was a fantastic turnout earlier this week as we commemorated Attvest's tenth anniversary at The Reveley Eastern Promenade, The Towers at Elizabeth Quay. Johan Steyn, Attvest's Managing Director, presented Ledge, represented by Brad Spencer, with a Certificate of Appreciation, recognising our enduring partnership. It's hard to believe that Ledge signed Attvest Finance's first WA Insurance Premium Funding Contract ten years ago! Congratulations on your ten years! We look forward to continuing and strengthening our successful partnership with you in the years to come. #AttvestFinance #LedgeFinance #PartnershipCelebration #partnerships

Less than a year out from the March state election, the Cook Government has delivered a big pre-election budget, with an additional $767m in cost-of-living relief and an increase in infrastructure spending, in part due to WA’s record surge in immigration (95,000 permanent new residents last year alone). Only time will tell whether Treasure Rita Saffioti’s insistence that this isn’t an inflationary budget turns out that way. For a breakdown of the budget and what it means for your business, check our Chamber of Commerce and Industry WA's analysis >> https://lnkd.in/gnBRpuPb #wastatebudget #businessfinancenews

This month, let's introduce you to Finance Executive Craig Ruthven 👍 "I entered the adult workforce, and Ledge was one of my first interviews. I joined the Ledge Finance team in 1999 pretty green... 25 years later, it’s the only professional position I’ve held. I’ve stayed because of the long-term relationships I’ve developed with my colleagues and clients." What do you love most about what you do? "My role involves a lot of relationship management between clients, lenders, suppliers, and stakeholders. Sprinkle in some financial analysis and a dash of commercial negotiation. I enjoy working with people smarter than me—our clients have brilliant minds. I also love watching our people develop and grow as they evolve with us, as well as seeing the business's culture evolve and be embraced by the team." Outside of work… "My partner and I are animal lovers passionate about animal welfare, consistently adopting, fostering, and donating. Whilst any sport-specific playing days are well behind me, I’m an avid AFL, NFL, and Soccer (Football) fan and like to catch games across the weekend. I also enjoy throwing some weights around in the “Iron” Dungeon at home…just trying to compete with my 25-year-old self!" Thanks for sharing, Craig! #meetourteam #ourteam #Ledgefinance

Yesterday, some of the Ledge executives attended the WA CAFBA PD Day at Parmelia Hilton Perth. Centred around the theme of ‘how to thrive and survive in times of adversity,’ the day featured a bumper lineup including CAFBA – Commercial & Asset Finance Brokers Association of Australia CEO David Bushby, who provided an update on CAFBA, Westpac Group Economist Jameson Coombs, who shared a comprehensive economic update, and speakers from CBA and TaxAssure, who discussed the issues of tax debt and finance fraud among other things. A highlight of the day was the “fireside chat” between CAFBA Secretary and Ledge Finance Executive Neil Ferguson and special guest speaker Dale Alcock, MD of ABN Group/Dale Alcock Homes During the chat, Dale shared some key traits of good leadership, including: - being genuine, - empowering your staff to do what is within their control, - making decisions, - deciding on a course, and - being aware that you may have to adjust your path depending on changing circumstances. What would your top leadership tip be? Share it with us below. Thanks, CAFBA, for another informative PD Day! #CAFBA #FinanceIndustry #financebrokers #professionaldevelopment #commercialfinance #businessfinance #smefinance #smelending

Are you and your business prepared for the upcoming tax debt changes? The Australian government has announced that general interest charge (GIC) and shortfall interest charge (SIC) will be non-deductible starting July 1, 2025. The key takeaways: ➡ GIC and SIC will become non-deductible from July 1, 2025. ➡ This change could increase the cost of tax debt for businesses. ➡ Businesses need to be prepared for heightened financial scrutiny from the ATO. ➡ Due to their deductible interest charges, traditional financial institutions may emerge as more appealing financing options. ➡ This policy change underscores the importance of proactive financial planning and debt management in navigating the evolving tax landscape. They had a fantastic catch-up with the team from Winyama Contracting Group, an award-winning Karratha-owned and Ngarluma contracting company dedicated to excellence in construction, civil, and mining. We love heading up north and supporting businesses in the Pilbara that are part of Australia's powerhouse engine!

We've enjoyed a fantastic couple of weekends supporting the Wembley Magpies Football Club, including over the weekend for their annual Sponsors Day 🏉 Ledge is back as a proud club sponsor for the 2024 season, and it was fantastic to get together over a warm April weekend to spend time with family, friends, colleagues, and the club while supporting local footy Even though the Wembley 2nds lost by one point in the final 15 seconds to Mt Lawley, the 1st trounced Mt Lawley in the last quarter to win by about 25+ points We're looking forward to attending more games this season to support the club's teams. Hope to see you there! #football #ledgefinance #wembleymagpies #communityengagement #sponsorship
