We are grateful to the Wollongong brain cancer community for welcoming our visiting guests, Scientific Advisory Committee members, Web Cavenee and Alfred Yung. Sponsored by Wollongong Diagnostics, the evening was an exceptional showcase of collaboration and knowledge sharing. A heartfelt thank you extends to Kate Mitrovski and the entire community for their warm reception. Moderated by our global ambassador, Holly Mae Stearnes, the engaging Q&A session shed light on the evolving landscape of brain cancer research and the potential for breakthrough therapies. This event exemplified the essence of our Foundation—a spirit of learning, sharing, and community engagement. Patients, advocates, scientists—all united in one direction, driving progress and, more importantly, fostering hope through #ImpactInAction. #CureBrainCancer #AskTheExperts #GoGreyInMay #BrainCancerAwarenessMonth Lance Kawaguchi Ben Murray

We are honoured to be their chosen charity for 2024 and their steadfast dedication to our cause exemplifies an unwavering commitment to advancing brain cancer research and advocacy. This event was particularly special as CEO Lance Kawaguchi welcomed esteemed speakers Web Cavenee and Alfred Yung to discuss the latest advancements in brain cancer research and treatments. Their expertise promises to provide invaluable insights into the ongoing efforts to combat this insidious disease. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Madgwicks Lawyers for their continued support and partnership and to Michele Kennedy for championing our cause. In the studio on the first of what will be a busy few days for our Scientific Advisory Committee (SAC) members Web Cavenee and Alfred Yung, who are visiting #Australia from the United States. Two of the world’s most accomplished brain cancer researchers, Dr. Cavenee, of UC San Diego and Ludwig Cancer Research, has long served as our SAC Chair, and Dr. Yung, of the The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, who recently joined in early 2023. Both are also founders of the #GBMAGILE global clinical trial and board members of its sponsor, the Global Coalition for Adaptive Research. This week, they will be meeting with Foundation donors, researchers, and members of the brain cancer community. This is a testament to Cure Brain Cancer Foundation’s #ImpactInAction vision: bringing together the world’s best brain cancer researchers to highlight where we are at and what needs to be done. #CureBrainCancer #AskTheExperts #ImpactInAction #GoGreyInMay #BrainCancerAwarenessMonth Lance Kawaguchi
