Did you know that 68% of LGBTQIA+ employees in Australia are not out to everyone at work? Today is International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia & Transphobia, a worldwide celebration of sexual and gender diversities 🙌 This year's theme, "No one left behind: equality, freedom and justice for all" is a call for unity: only through solidarity for each other will we create a world without injustice, where no one is left behind. By coming together and raising our voices, we can make a difference in the lives of LGBTQIA+ individuals and communities worldwide 🌏

Up the maroons!! 😍
As I head into enemy territory (Sydney), I wanted to give a big shout out to the NRLW Qld State Of Origin side who face off against NSW in Game 1 tonight. Our very own Apprenticeship Field Officer Emily Bass is in the squad and I look forward to seeing her get us over the line a few times tonight. BUSY At Work are proud partners of the Gold Coast Titans NRLW side and quite a few of the team will be in tonight’s line up. These women are inspiring young girls everywhere and paving the way for women’s Rugby League. If you can, tune in tonight. Go the Maroons!

Exciting times at Riviera Australia! We just wrapped up our school engagement event where we had the privilege of touring Riv’s new Academy of Excellence. The turnout was fantastic with 75 attendees, including ILO’s HOD’s and STEM teachers. The focus this year was to showcase their new state of the art training facility and incredible opportunities for school-based apprenticeships in the Marine industry, and where better to do that than at Australia’s largest luxury yacht manufacturer! Supporting jobseekers into apprenticeships 🙌 Here at BUSY At Work, we understand that entering an apprenticeship or traineeship can be quite daunting. It's a new environment, with new people and new skills. That's why we work hard to place our jobseekers with employers that are friendly and supportive, and will offer a hand whenever needed. If you know someone who's looking to start an apprenticeship or traineeship, reach out today 🤙 Learn more: https://lnkd.in/gKJD9qzn #busyatwork #busyatbusy #aasn #apprenticeship #traineeship #support

Congrats to Hutchinson Builderson 20 years and to the incredible apprentice and cadet winners 👏
Hutchies Training Awards celebrated 20 years on Saturday night! Congratulations to our 2023 Apprentice of the Year, Stephanie Castaldo in Bernie Nolan’s Team in Melbourne, and 2023 Cadet of the Year, Hunter Hall in Rohan Barry’s Team in Southport. “Stephanie is an outstanding apprentice who is highly skilled with all her tools on site, and along with her eagerness to work, and learn, she is highly sought after by all our site subbies to spend time working with them. I have been working with apprentices for over 35 years in the industry and Stephanie is simply outstanding in every way.” “Hunter has exceeded all expectations during his final year as a building cadet. He has initiative, motivation and goes over and beyond his allocated tasks to ensure the work is completed.” The awards were held back at Hutchies’ built Wests Rugby Union Clubhouse and recognised the amazing achievements of our homegrown apprentices and cadets all over Australia. Big shoutout to other Apprentice & Cadet winners on the night: 4th Year Apprentice / Jai Smith 3rd Year Apprentice / Finlay Ross 2nd Year Apprentice / Aiden Hartley 1st Year Apprentice / Jacob Miller Cadet Runner Up / Dean Tyler-Battaglia Cadet Finalist / Megan Long Cadet Finalist / Jackson Little Cadet Finalist / Gina Meeve We had a record number of nominations this year, which highlights the contribution these cohorts make to Hutchies and the industry.
