Yesterday one of our dreams came true. Almost all our staff came together under one roof. We connected. We learned. We adapted. We were inspired. And, we even sang. Tané Hunter from Future Crunch blew our minds with his optimistic insights into spectacular technology and learning experiences. Prof Arnold Dix rendered us all speechless and then had us laughing/crying with his account of the rescue of 41 trapped workers from a tunnel collapse in the Himalayas. We earned to adaptively problem solve and prepared ourselves for the future of our organisation. We are a geographically disparate organisation operating vocational education from Echuca through to Gippsland as well as skills assessments and e-learning across Australia and even overseas, so it is not easy to bring our people together. But we did, and it was magical. We are now more energised for the role we play to change people's lives through education, skills, training and assessments. Thanks to everyone from Kangan Institute, Bendigo TAFE, VETASSESS and #eWorks for making it happen #unitingBKI. Thanks to Div Pillay for facilitating the event, Nartarsha Bamblett for the powerful Acknowledgment to Country and of course to Pub Choir, for leaving us with an experience of a lifetime.
