#FireTestFriday Large metal pipes can be difficult to treat as they tend to conduct large amount of heat through penetrations. In a recent test, a DN150 copper pipe was installed through a concrete floor using two layers of FyreBATT, sealed with FyreFLEX and UniGUARD installed on top. The system achieved an FRL of -/180/180. FyreBATT systems are a great solution when treating oversized penetrations up to 1200x600mm in concrete floor slabs. You can friction-fit this system-perfect for tight spaces if the opening cannot be overlapped- for 3hr applications without the need for wrapping.
