The Mount Druitt community has been served by PCYC NSW and NSW Police Force for over 39 years from the current location. Earlier this week we reached a significant milestone in partnership with Blacktown City Council announcing a $25.4m extension to the PCYC Mount Druitt Club facility. The new extension, funded by the NSW Government's Western Sydney Infrastructure Grants (WSIG) program, will feature two multipurpose indoor courts, a youth hub gathering space, enhanced bathroom facilities, with indoor and outdoor gathering places. This means so much more than upgraded sporting facilities. We want to provide every opportunity possible for the rising generation in NSW to have a safe space to belong, to stay active in life, to discover their talents and to build a multicultural community harmony for a bright future together. It is exciting to see this new development emerge to continue transforming the Mount Druitt community. This morning PCYC Eastern Suburbs hosted a special Behind the Blue #FitForLife session. 🙌🍎 Behind the Blue is a NSW Police Force Commissioner’s initiative that provides community leaders with an immersive experience in everyday policing. We are excited to announce that PCYC NSW has acquired Dubbo Sportsworld. 📢 PCYC NSW has purchased Dubbo Sports World to ensure the continued provision of vital recreation services and community programs in Dubbo and western NSW. The decision was taken by PCYC NSW amidst uncertainty around the future of the Dubbo sports hub after Government withdrew $33M in promised funding. PCYC NSW CEO, Ben Hobby said, “We know how critical this infrastructure is to the Dubbo community, who need and deserve a sporting facility to enable access to recreation activities and youth programs that could change lives for the better.
