It was great supporting Rude Rainbow for their first ever #pride🌈 #popupshop at Room 205 Oxford Street in the two weeks leading up to Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras 😍🌈🎉 On display were a range of products, from Rude Rainbow, Sparklebutt, MAINE+MARA, A Beautiful Weirdo™, and Trash Vintage Byron Bay. Thank you Kieran Kartun, co-founder of Rude Rainbow, for your feedback on our shelving units ❤️❤️ “We had a pride pop-up at Room 205, Oxford Street for the two weeks prior to Mardi Gras as a brand collaborative with four other creative queer-owned brands. We chose Peacock Retail because you offered the best-looking and cleanest display units which were perfect for us to display a range of items on including hats, eyewear, fans, bandannas, and beach towels. As it was a pop-up store with multiple brands storage space was minimal and thus, having the storage cabinet below the display unit helped us store our swimwear and underwear stock as well making them perfect for the pop-up. Terry from Peacock Retail was very receptive and easy to get in touch with to have our items quoted. The shelves were perfect for storing a range of items and suited the rest of our clean, white, furniture in store. They were solid, sturdy and modern with a clean aesthetic that allowed our products to really shine. The different shelving heights allowed us to display beach towels at the base, bandannas in the middle and eyewear at the top helping draw customers' attention from base to top. Pick-ups and returns were simple with staff on hand to help pack the relatively heavy units and making sure we could collect and return at times suitable to help accommodate our setup and pack up of the pop-up store. Thank you for your feedback ❤️ "I loved the setup of our pop up display. I think it was perfect. The way that it looked, honestly it was just so beautiful. This is the first time that I’ve ever been in a shopping centre environment with my Motherwell Co brand. Compared to the usual markets I attend, Castle Towers was great because it was more long-term. That allowed people to see my products, walk away, think about it and then come back. A lot of my customers did that, they came back and made a purchase. You don’t get that in a market. Having a pop up store is really a long-term investment, to give your customers enough time to know you’re there. I had quite a lot of sales over the two weeks. Everything went really well. Everything from Peacock Retail was absolutely amazing. I can’t really think of anything that you could even change. Having another pop up with Peacock Retail is definitely something I would do again in the future. I’d love to work with you again.
