Dr Rajalakshmi Ramesh joined Queensland X-Ray as a consultant radiologist in 2024 and is currently completing a fellowship in neuro, spine, head and neck radiology. When asked what her motivation was for undertaking a fellowship with Queensland X-Ray, Dr Ramesh explained: “The neuro, spine, head and neck radiology hybrid fellowship program at Queensland X-Ray provides me with the opportunity of further cultivating my subspecialty interests in challenging and stimulating environments in both hospital-based and community branches. I can gain further proficiency and excellence in both neuroradiological image analysis and interpretation, whilst also augmenting my general radiology qualifications. Queensland X-Ray is at the forefront of neuroimaging and will ultimately complement my ambitions for career progression in the field of diagnostic neuroradiology.” For more information about our fellowship opportunities visit: https://buff.ly/3D276wX To read Dr Rajalakshmi Ramesh’s biography, visit https://buff.ly/3Qohw12

In March, Queensland X-Ray Radiologist Dr Peter Brookfield, Radiographer in Charge Michael Evans, and Radiographer in Charge Edward Yates travelled to Papua New Guinea (PNG) to take on the challenge of walking the Kokoda Track to not only test their limits, but to reflect on the events that took place in 1942. Today, 25th of April, we remember the bravery and sacrifices of all Anzacs. Read more about Peter, Michael, and Edward's experience retracing the footsteps of Australian soldiers, and those who walked alongside them, during the Battle of Kokoda. We will remember them.
