Acacia Canoes still open for business

After relocation to Dorrigo NSW, Acacia Canoe Sales and Hire is again open for business while the stock clearance continues in our run-down to closure.

All remaining stock has been consigned to storage as there is no longer a publicly accessible retail outlet.  Anyone wanting clearance items should now contact me via email (address on Contact Details page) to arrange inspection/collection.  I should add that there are still a few ex-hire touring and sea kayaks available ... just email for details.  Payment options remain as cash or direct debit (i.e. net banking) only.

Please note that replies to email inquiries may occasionally take a while due to stock access issues or being away paddling somewhere!

Acacia Canoe Sales and Hire is on the move

After nearly 24 years operating from our Acacia Ridge premises, Acacia Canoe Sales and Hire is packing up and moving to Northern New South Wales.

The Acacia Ridge landline has now been disconnected and our ongoing stock clearance is being paused until the end of May 2024 when business will resume from our new location on a "by appointment" basis only.  We can still be contacted through our usual email address, however replies may be delayed for a while as we concentrate on the relocation.

Stay tuned for further developments.

Acacia Canoe Sales and Hire to close down

After more than 23 years in business I have decided it's time to retire to devote more time to family and friends and to pursue other interests.

As of Friday 30 June 2023:

- public access to our product webpages will be progressively removed,

- all tuition and hires will cease,

- customer orders for new stock will no longer be accepted, and

- while trading days will remain as Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday for the immediate future, business hours will be reduced to 10.00AM to 1.00PM on each of those days.

We will conduct a complete stock inventory and progressively post a list of clearance items to the Specials page of our website, with all sales stock reduced to wholesale prices or less.  Those looking to grab a bargain are advised to regularly review the Specials webpage and act quickly if they spot anything of interest ... as all goods will be sold on a first-come first-served basis.  Unfortunately, as freight/carriage contracts have now been finalized, all stock will need to be collected directly from our Acacia Ridge premises.  Payments will be accepted by cash or Direct Debit (net banking) only.

We will also be reviewing the status of some of our existing hire craft, so feel free to call (Ph 07 3276 7576) during Business Hours if you are interested in purchasing any of these.

Finally, I would like to thank all those customers who have supported Acacia Canoe Sales and Hire through the years ... as it is your interest and support that has allowed this business to survive as a resource to both novices and paddling aficionados alike.  I am happy to continue taking calls and providing helpful advice to customers as our business winds down however, when our website eventually disappears into the ether, the carnival will indeed be over!

Best wishes to all.

COLEMAN and PELICAN canoe replacement parts:

Do you own a Coleman or Pelican brand canoe that needs replacement parts?  Acacia Canoe Sales and Hire currently has stocks of parts and accessories (including seats, carry handles, thwarts, gunwale mouldings, etc) for a number of Ram-X and Ram-X-Cel (XCELCORE) craft. These “genuine” new parts suit current and discontinued Pelican and Coleman models including Colorado, 15.5, Expedition 146 and 166, Excursion 146 and 166, Bayou and Navigator.  Don’t delay if you need parts to repair your canoe – spares for older models are getting harder to come by and many will be unprocurable in Australia when current stocks are exhausted.  Check out the Pelican/Coleman Canoe Parts page for more information.
