Meet our staff Dr Shelley Chee received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from the University of Adelaide in 2007. Since graduating, she has gained experience in both private practice and the public hospital sectors. She had the opportunity to relocate to Singapore for 3 years and has also worked as a clinical tutor at the University of Adelaide Dental School. Shelley enjoys the broad spectrum of work that comes with being a general dentist. She gets a great deal of personal satisfaction in developing and strengthening relationships with her patients, particularly those who have been reluctant to see a dentist! Shelley is also skilled in doing botox at Bupa Dental Adelaide. When she is not working, Shelley enjoys travelling and watching musicals. Her desire to learn new skills means she is currently navigating the potholes of crochet and pottery. Dr Marcus Chua graduated from the University of Adelaide with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2015. He went on to work in various hospitals in Singapore before moving to private practice in 2019.

Marcus’s gentle and relaxed demeanour helps when he is treating kids and anxious patients. His favourite part of his job is creating positive experiences for patients who have been afraid to go to the dentist. He always tries to get to know his patients and help them feel comfortable during appointments.

When not seeing patients, Marcus has a beautiful young family that he loves spending time with. He also enjoys getting out and about, going for walks along the River Torrens or visiting the wide array of coffee shops in the area.
Dr Edward Bell enjoys practicing all areas of dentistry, providing patients with excellent care to suit their immediate needs and treatment plans to re-establish and maintain oral health, function and an overall beautiful smile.

He has a special interest in cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign orthodontic treatment and both the surgical placement and restoration of dental implants.

Originally from Shepparton in country Victoria, Edward moved to South Australia in 2008 to study the Bachelor of Dental Surgery at the University of Adelaide. Edward has worked in practices in both Adelaide and Melbourne, as well as Vancouver Canada.

Edward has completed further study in Biohorizons Surgical implantation in Peru, and the Advanced Implant Dentistry course in South Africa.

In 2021 he was acknowledged as a Platinum Elite Invisalign provider. Outside of dentistry he enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 children. He is a keen golfer, an avid alpine skier and an unreliable hockey player for the Adeialde Hockey Club, he is also a long suffering Essendon supporter.
Dr. Maribel Vesga is an Associate Dentist with nine years of experience and a focus on aesthetics, orthodontics, and surgical procedures. She has worked as a dentist in the Colombian Army and volunteered in remote areas of Colombia. Dr. Vesga is passionate about helping people and finds joy in changing smiles to make patients happy.

Her favorite part of dentistry is cosmetic dentistry, where she can change smiles and help patients look more beautiful and healthier. Dr. Vesga enjoys discussing with patients what they want to achieve and working together to make it happen.

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Vesga enjoys reading books, running marathons, and watching sunsets at the beach. She values the camaraderie with her colleagues at Bupa Adelaide and cherishes time with friends, exploring Adelaide's dining scene, and attending local events.

Known for being a good listener, caring, comforting, communicative, empathetic, gentle, genuine, good-humoured, informative, kind-hearted, passionate, relaxed, and understanding, Dr. Vesga strives to deliver empathetic and passionate care, ensuring her patients' happiness and health.
Dr Natalie Ki is passionate about building positive relationships with patients. Graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery in 2015, Natalie has years of experience in the field and has a particular interest in endodontics and dental pain management.

Natalie enjoys being able to use her hands to help patients with their dental goals. She always strives to put her patients at ease and build good rapport with them.

Natalie is a gentle and caring dentist who takes the time to talk and listen to her patients. Outside of the clinic, Natalie enjoys bouldering, making pottery, spending time with her dog and going for walks to the cafes and shops that surround her neighbourhood.
Madeleine is a cheerful and good-natured oral health therapist who is always ready to build trusting relationships with her patients and help them manage their fears or anxieties. After graduating with a Bachelor of Oral Health in 2015, Madeleine also completed a Graduate Certificate in Oral Health Science in 2021 and is a member of the Dental Hygienists Association of Australia.

Madeleine enjoys performing preventative treatments and has a special interest in airway issues. She has always had a passion for helping people achieve happier, healthier smiles and is known to be a gentle and calming presence who loves a good laugh with her patients and colleagues.

Outside the clinic Madeleine can be found spending time with her family, walking her dog or doing Pilates. She especially enjoys visiting the beach and wine regions that surround her local area.
Vanessa (Wanshi) Zhang is a dental hygienist with a passion for oral hygiene and teeth whitening. She has been in the dental field since 2011, starting as a dental assistant and achieving an advanced diploma of oral health in 2018. Vanessa is a member of the Dental Hygienists Association of Australia.

Her inspiration for dentistry comes from her own experiences with dental decay in childhood, motivating her to help others maintain good oral health for a happier, healthier life. She finds joy in her job when she sees patients with a big smile after their treatment.

Outside of work, Vanessa enjoys spending time with family and friends, cooking, reading, and doing sports with children. She is caring, detail-oriented, empathetic, supportive, and understanding. Vanessa believes that being a hygienist is not just about cleaning teeth but also about educating patients on oral health methods, listening to their stories, supporting them through difficult times, sharing their happy moments, and helping them achieve good general well-being.

She speaks Mandarin and Cantonese, which she believes can help calm Chinese-speaking patients. Her natural instincts of caring, understanding, and willingness to listen make her a great choice for patients seeking personalized and compassionate care.
Niloufar, better known as Nilly, has been working in the dental industry for 12 years after graduating with a Bachelor of Oral Health at the University of Adelaide. She spent a year in London working at a mix of private practices and the National Health Service. Nilly continues to hone her skills by completing continuous professional career development courses. She always tries to practice professional chairside manners and communicate well with her patients.

Enjoyable visits to the dentist when she was young are what cemented Nilly’s aspirations to work in the dental industry. Now, she is particularly passionate about treating children and helping kids overcome their dental fears. She strives to improve her patients’ oral hygiene and overall health, hoping this contributes to them smiling more.

Outside of work, you can find Nilly spending time with her family and friends or even at the local cafe - her favourite place to visit in the area.
