01/06/2015 Whether you're cutting business costs or just topping up the home beer fund, everyone loves saving a few bucks. And like many other services, window cleaning can offer fantastic value for money if you shop around. So here are our inside tips on how to negotiate a great deal on window cleaning prices without compromising on quality...
Do Your Research
How many window cleaners service your area? If there's not much competition, you're not in a strong position to negotiate on price. But if there are scores of cleaners all vying for your business, you'll be able to barter much more easily.
You should also consider what type of window cleaning you require. For example, store front is the most competitive area in window cleaning, so contractors are far more likely to discount for those jobs than for residential or high rise work.
While you're collating quotes, check out window cleaning reviews on Google Plus. This will give you an idea of whether the prices you've been quoted represent value for money. Remember, if a customer receives bad service, they are three times more likely to write a review than one who is happy with their service. A good rule of thumb then is to multiply each favourable review by three - so if they have four good reviews and two bad ones, count that as 12 vs. four.
