Valerie has worked as a Speech Pathologist for 10 years in Paediatric Feeding. She has worked in a range of Specialist facilities including The Sydney Children’s Hospital, Randwick, John Hunter Children’s Hospital, Sylvanvale Handicapped Children’s Centre and in private practise. She has specialised in assessing and treating babies and children with feeding and swallowing difficulties, this includes: Difficulties with breast or bottle feeding Transitioning through solids e.g. puree to lumps Gagging on lumpy foods or finger foods Difficulties chewing or swallowing Fussy eating Transitioning from tube feeds (e.g. NGT, PEG) to oral feeds Drooling/saliva control Tongue thrust or tongue tie Feeding difficulties commonly associated with Cerebral Palsy, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome and Developmental delays So if you need some help then give us a call!
