- Your free consultation will take place in supportive one-on-one online session where we can explore your concerns. - Your consultation will be via Zoom and you can have your camera off if you wish. Afterwards, you can easily book your treatment with a seamless process to initiate your therapy. If you require specialized treatment beyond beyond the scope of my practice, I can refer you to an alternative provider or service.

Do I Need a Mental Health Treatment Plan?
No, you don't need a Mental Health Treatment Plan to connect with our counselling or clinical hypnotherapy services. In many cases, counselling or hypnotherapy can be as effective as seeking help from a psychologist.
It's important to remember that the success of any mental health treatment depends on various factors, such as the nature and severity of your issue, the therapist's expertise and approach, your willingness to work towards your goals, and how you respond to treatment.

What is a Mental Health Treatment Plan?
Under the Better Access initiative, having a Mental Health Treatment Plan allow you up to 10 Medicare-subsidised sessions per year with a psychologist or Accredited Mental Health Social Worker (AMHSW).
If you're struggling with your mental health your GP can assess your eligibility for a Mental Health Treatment Plan. You can only access a mental health treatment plan if your doctor diagnoses you with a mental health condition (e.g., anxiety or depression). Under this plan, your GP will refer you to a psychologist or AMHSW.
It's important to note, however, that many psychologists have wait times for appointments, and in some cases, these wait times can extend to six months.
Can I Get a Medicare Rebate?
We understand the frustration that many individuals face due to extended waiting times for psychologists after acquiring a Mental Health Treatment Plan. This plan will allow you to receive a Medicare rebate for mental health treatment, and typically, there's a gap fee involved.
While we don't offer the Medicare rebate directly, we strive to provide accessible and affordable mental health support for individuals who need it most.
At our practice, we've aligned our charges with this standard gap fee for individuals with a Mental Health Treatment Plan.
Fee Information if you have a Mental Health Plan, are a Crime Victim, or a HTA student
- If you have a Mental Health Plan and are encountering delays in seeing a psychologist, the consultation fee per session is capped at $105.60, matching the gap fee after the Medicare rebate.
- If you are a crime victim you may be eligible to have your treatment covered by the Victims of Crime Assistance Tribunal (VOCAT).
- As a HTA student you are required to undergo 3 hypnotherapy sessions with a HTA recommended therapist. Fees are capped at $100 per session.
