Our Bloc has been formed out of the experience of Strata Unit Underwriters, a specialised strata insurance underwriting agency that has been providing strata insurance to Australian strata owners since 1999. During this time, our market research and community feedback has identified there is a niche market group of strata owners that prefer to self-manage their strata plan rather than use a paid professional strata manager. We are passionate about supporting self-managed strata and have developed Our Bloc for this very reason, a separate brand that focuses on helping self-managed strata owners by providing strata insurance, a referral network of strata service providers, special deals, news & strata education. Our Bloc and Strata Unit Underwriters are trading names of Strata Unit Underwriting Agency Pty Ltd, which is 100% owned by Insurance Australia Group (IAG), Australia’s largest general insurer, which means we have the same strong, stable and secure backing as other well known IAG brands like CGU Insurance, NRMA Insurance, SGIO, SGIC and WFI.
