08/19/2013 We're massive fans of the Bootstrap framework here at twenty4. We've used it on a few of our projects and have really enjoyed the benefits it's given us so far. But we always felt like we could do the grid system, well, better. Now I'm not saying we can do it better than Twitter, what I'm saying is we could do it better for us and the type of projects we find ourselves working on daily. So inspired by and taking learning's from the Bootstrap grid framework, we created our own grid system - Jockstrap.
It's designed to sit beside Twitter's Bootstrap as more of an extension, rather than a replacement.
The main benefit of Jockstrap is the unique grid system we've developed, where you can specify widths for all your main devices (mobile, tablet and desktop), but it will also nest columns perfectly for each of those devices, leaving you with cleaner code, and more importantly - less headaches.
In addition, we've created a dozen or so helper classes, which perform a lot of the tasks we use for each of our web development projects. Things like a pre-defined sprite class, and responsive floats, help that little bit extra when we're skinning up our projects.
On top of that, we're pleased to announce our WordPress version of the framework, which is currently in Beta. So if you'd like a copy, get in touch with us and we'll send it out to you right away.
We've got some really great projects using this framework, which we're going to be announcing soon, so watch this space.
