Wardle Co has personnel in the Port Pirie/Mid North region together with Roxby Downs, Yorke Peninsula and Kangaroo Island.The company was originally established at Crystal Brook as a stock agency in 1988 as Wardle and Butterfield. In 1996 Tom Wardle became the sole proprietor and renamed the company Wardle Co. The company quickly grew to become the largest independent stock agency in South Australia, with a strong client base, servicing the Mid North, Eyre Peninsula and Yorke Peninsula and providing Livestock, Real Estate Services and selling merchandise, chemical and wool.In 2007 the company was sold to the Australian Barley Board which was later acquired by Canadian company Viterra. In March 2010 the Real Estate business was again taken over by Tom Wardle and son James has now become part.
