About Dog's Bar

Established September 1989

Dogs Bar is a locals' wine bar with an exquisite Mediterranean restaurant. It's located off the commercial drag of Acland Street and is home to a couple of thousand regular customers, some of whom inhabit our space daily, some less frequently, but all of them, Dogs Bar regulars. In 2010 Dogs Bar 'Arts Hub' ran over 200 arts events across live music, cabaret, storytelling, film screenings, burlesque, poetry and visual art shows. This year there are more events with the addition of a theatre space, St.Kilda MeMo, providing the opportunity to increase the number and size of events and to hold onto some arts & culture and the artists and performers that make it happen.
