ebm-papst A&NZ finalist in Wyndham Business Awards

07/31/2011 ebm-papst A&NZ have been selected as finalist in the annual business awards of the local Wyndham City council.

In their 17th year, the Business Awards are an annual highlight on the Wyndham business calendar. They provide an opportunity for the business community to connect, develop new, lasting and rewarding relationships.

Every year, a broad range of businesses in Wyndham submits their entries. Categories include Retail, Tourism, Manufacture, Franchise, Service and Arts and Entertainment. ebm-papst has submitted their entry in the category Manufacture Small. The company now has the chance to win both the category award and the coveted Mayoral award and Business of the Year titles.

The company believes that the success of the business in Australia and New Zealand lies in the commitment to providing excellent technology with energy-efficient solutions to our markets. ebm-papst has risen to the global warming challenge by developing specific products that reduce power consumption by introducing the first electronically commutated (EC) high efficiency motors available in mainstream applications. These motors and fans reduce the fan power consumption in fridges in supermarkets by 75% as well as being the heart of new energy efficient technologies such as combined heat and power units (CHP) developed in Australia as well as the internationally based ceramic fuel cells.

Australian engineers and manufacturers are by nature innovative and ebm-papst has been able to support these developments with its locally and globally based engineering expertise and is proud to be rewarded as a finalist in the Wyndham Business Awards.

After a visit by the independent judging panel, the Wyndham Award winners will be announced at an event held on Friday, 19th August, 2011.
